BIKE DOWN HALEAUKALA
There are two versions of this exciting activity. One is a group tour and the other is a self-paced tour on your own.

FREESTYLE HALEAKALA DOWNHILL
They drive participants to the summit, then drive downhill for 9 miles and give bikes to participants, who get to ride at their own pace, stopping and starting at will, without needing to stick with a group. Must be back at shop at 5pm to return bike. 27 miles downhill from start of ride to shop. There is no need for athletic ability or strength. It is strictly downhill, using good mountain bikes. You just need balance and ability to ride.
It's your day on the mountain. Remember, just have fun! Prices range from $65 to $85. and are available at 3:30AM or 8:30AM.

ESCORTED TOURS are offered for those who prefer to have a fully guided tour. They are very safety conscious. They cruise from the summit to the sea, a total of 38 miles.

HELICOPTER

A helicopter ride is a great way to see Maui and there are several tour routes and tour providers. We'll be happy to recommend one that suits you. Yes, thery are expensive, but the scenery is so spectacular that it is well worth it.

SPECIALTY CRUISES
We like all the cruises offered by Trilogy Cruises. Sample excursions include: 2 hr Kaanapali sunset sail,dolphin watch, whale watching, Molokini 1/2 day, full day Lanai, scuba diving can be added on to most of these cruises.
The Pacific Whale Foundation also offers some really good cruises, especially in winter during whale season.

REEFDANCER is a high tech semi-submersible that allows you to watch what is happening on the reef from the cool, dry comfort of the boat. Divers go out and briing marine animals to the windows to show participants and one diver enen takes a video camera which is broadcast inside so you can see exactly what he sees. Prices are affordable at $32.95 for adults and $18.95 for kids for a 60 minute tour.

SPORT FISHING
For fishing enthusiats, Maui offers several good sport fishing charters and we'll be happy to find one that is rightfor you.

HIKING
There are guided hiking tours in several areas in Maui. The guided tours are more informative than hiking on your own and there is the comaradery of the group which is quite enjoyable., and there are lots of places where you can hike.

DINNER CRUISES
For land lovers, the Maui Ocean Center gives you a chance to see what all the cruise excitement is all about. It is well worth a visit.

LUAUS
Maui has several authentic Luaus, on the west side as well as in Wailea. They are all good and since alcohol is involved, selecting a luau close to where you are staying is a prudent move. We'll be happy to help you select a luau.

EVENING SHOWS
Ulalena is the name of the newest and most amazing stage production to come from Hawaii in decades.
The power of this production is that it is both universal and intimate. Born from a mythology populated by beings larger than life representing a natural landscape alive with volcanoes, vast oceans and primeval rain forests, the story begins with the mythic creation of the islands and rolls through successive waves of voyagers who have found their way to these shores, from the first Polynesians to Captain Cook, and finally to us.
Butoh theatre, acrobatics and hula are combined with modern dance. Rich costumes, lighting and stage design are woven together into a filagree of fantastic images drawn from Hawaiian legend and history, pulling the viewer out of time and into a place of wonder, experiencing with awe the spirit-filled landscape of the imagination of the ancient Hawaiian story tellers.
Maui Theatre presents a theatrical experience as impressive as the story. It is a multi-million dollar, state-of-the-art venue built for this presentation. It employs the talents of some of Hawaii's most distinguished musicians and performers, combining live traditional Hawaiian music with 8-channel surround sound.
